The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, Omoyele Sowore, in the sum of N200 million. In a ruling on Tuesday, Justice Muhammad Umar ordered Sowore to produce two sureties. One of the sureties must be a traditional ruler from Sowore’s community, while the other must own landed property in Abuja. The court also directed that the sureties be verified by the prosecution. A federal high court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to proceed with the registration of the All Democratic Alliance (ADA) and release its access code to the Akin Ricketts-led leadership of the political association.
