The Ogun State Government has directed all public and private schools across the state to stop organising graduation ceremonies and end-of-session parties, citing concerns over the financial burden such activities impose on parents and guardians. Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to immediately deregister the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Accord Party and others from participating in the 2027 general elections over alleged constitutional breaches.
