The protem Director of Organization for All Democratic Alliance (ADA), Ahidjo Karlahi, has slammed a suit against against the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), seeking its deregistration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The suit, which was filed last week Tuesday before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja and marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1115/2026, has been assigned to Justice Mohammed Umar by the Chief Justice of FHC, Justice Tsoho. The Nigerian Army has confirmed the attack on a military base in Borno State, saying five soldiers and three members of Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) were killed. The army, however, noted that the attack was repelled by troops of Operation Hadin Kai, a joint task force in the North-east. The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) says the party handles disputes arising from its just concluded primaries through “an established stakeholder leadership structure.” The National Secretary of the NDC, Ikenna Enekweizu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday night. The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed an appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the leadership dispute within the party. The appeal stemmed from a Federal High Court judgement which recognised a caretaker leadership structure within the Peoples Democratic Party as the party’s interim arrangement.
